TRAINING AND PERFORMANCE

The training we provide for volunteers who work with us, and for other participants/beneficiaries is informed by the essence of what makes us human: theatre, and the ability to learn about and understand ourselves through watching and empathising with others, finding ways to communicate effectively, and using these skills to support and develop others.

Whilst the activities we provide, for a long time, were not governed by recognised national bodies, and did not have accredited training associated with them, this is starting to change.  We are in the process of exploring what kind of more formalised training is right and most useful for our organisation, and the people we work with.  Look out for more news on this in the coming months.

From the aerial circus showcases we hold twice a year, to various members of our team having a range of performance skills, we love to communicate and engage with people through performance.  There’s more about this in the Events section, and we will be posting updates about performances we are involved in, or are developing at our venue, but if you want a performance from circus skills to physical theatre, forum theatre or clown, just talk to us!
